Greetings from Kenya, and welcome to our new blog! We will be using this, in conjunction with e-mail updates, to keep you informed on our life and ministry here in Africa. We hope that you'll enjoy the opportunity to log in any time you want and see developments here in our life and ministry, as well as check out pictures... of ministry and even of the kids to see how they are growing.
Two days ago the world learned that Obama won the US Presidential election... and here in Kenya you would think, due to his Kenyan roots via his father, that Kenya has gotten a new president; yesterday was actually declared a national holiday! I had to postpone a very important meeting with several key denominational and national ministry leaders for launching a new network that we've been preparing for 2 1/2 years, due to this suddenly declared holiday.
Anyway, dealing with the unexpected is just part of life in Africa, and we hope that this blog will help keep you more informed of the events in our life and ministry here in Kenya and beyond. Aside from narratives which we'll add on the main portion of the blog, there are also links to some various photo albums, opportunities for you to register to follow this blog so you'll be notified when the blog is updated, opportunities to give comments, links for making financial contributions, and as we go, we know that the blog will continue to develop and grow.
Oh, it is important to note that this blog, for security reasons, cannot be found by internet search engines, but can only be found with the exact internet address. Also, because of security issues for some items, we will continue to use e-mail updates for items which we don't feel we can put on the internet.
We are looking forward to using this to keep you informed and hope you enjoy!
Well, here goes... hoping we can figure out how to make this thing work!!
